Onwards and upwards?

I officially started on book two! No, really. I have over 1K of new* content freshly written and I'm feeling the excitement for finally diving into this next stage of the story.

Does that mean I'm done with book one?

Um… well… sort of?

Every scene has been written. There are a few scenes that are new and have not been reviewed by my critique partners. We have begun to reread the latest version together, and things are looking good, so far. I might want to speed up this read through though.

Why is that? Good question.

I had a chat earlier today with Cae Hawksmoor about booking them do a professional sensitivity read for book one. I'll need to scrape together the funds because having Cae read this manuscript is something I've wanted since I first started following them on Threads.

It might be the sign I need to step away and see if this baby can fly.

In other news, I am struggling with discovering the series name I've been planning to use for almost a decade has now been taken. My backup name is also taken. I know you can't copyright a title, but I want to avoid confusion. So, as of now, I am looking at a longer series name than I intended. But, I think it captures the essence of what I wanted in the end.

The two versions show the difference position of the stones that represent each book.

*The good news is that I already have 85K written from before I split the manuscript into two books, so I'm not starting from scratch.
